Lunden's preschool
In 2009, work began on a new preschool in Vimmerby urban area where I had the privilege of being project manager. We worked on a broad front with working groups with participants represented from many different groups (cleaning, pedagogues, nutrition, property managers, politicians, union representatives, work environment managers, pre-school manager, operations manager, Vemab, M&H etc.). Many study visits were carried out at other preschools and meetings to turn and twist the needs that existed in Vimmerby.
Originally, the plan was to build a new preschool where the former Vitsippan's preschool was located (near the Gästgivarhagen). A preschool that was partially closed due to indoor climate concerns. There was also a shelter here. The project continued with drawings and documents, but then the project encountered contradictions in the form of a neighbor who did not want a preschool there. Then the decision was made to move to location no. 2 Cirkus the place. In connection with this, I went on parental leave. When I then came back in the fall of 2011, another change of location had been made to the one where Lunden stands today. So for me it was to pick up where I left off. In 2012, we procured a turnkey contract and it was NCC that took the job. In late summer, we started the construction work. In autumn 2013, the preschool was ready. Time: Construction time approx. 1 year Budget: 33 million Building material: facade brick/larch wood Environmental building silver Difficulty: convincing leading politicians to build sustainably and not with a quick "barrack solution", to get together the project budget that was originally set based on a site that was already established with electricity, water and sewerage and the threat of a possible strike by the construction industry that year at salary audit. When the project met both the set budget and schedule, I received the Municipal Board's appreciation in the form of a "gold medal". This was my first "big" project and babysitting. Incredibly grateful for the trust I received from my boss at the time. You develop from challenge. |
Vimarhaga & Borghaga care/nursing accommodation
In 2012, work began on the nursing home, which went by the working name Senioren. First, we worked out the basis for the inquiry about Partnering and that with several parameters, e.g. a presentation/interview part. In the end, the choice fell on Skanska. At first, the idea was not that I would continue working on this project after the procurement, but that changed immediately and I was involved in phase 1 and phase 2 (of 3 phases). We carried out a series of site visits both in Västergötland and Stockholm County together with the project group before we in the group landed in the execution of Vimmerby's nursing home. Among other things, there is an experience room with a sandy beach here for the residents. There are also adapted yards so the residents can get outside - sit in the garden and hear the water trickle.

Primary school 600 students
In 2019, work began on an investigation into the alternatives:
1) Build a new upper secondary school and convert 2 primary schools into primary/intermediate secondary schools 2) O mode - no action 3) Build a new upper secondary school, leave the Al school and build 1 new primary/intermediate secondary school 4) Renovate 2 primary schools and bring in pavilions What had caused this was that one school had points from the Swedish Work Environment Authority to address. But both primary schools lacked functioning home economics rooms, group rooms, after-school spaces, music and craft rooms. During the presentation to the politicians, a decision was made to start a preliminary study of a new junior high school (alt 1). As the work progressed, it was also time to look at a new special school as it had outgrown its premises and had increased pressure going forward. In 2021, we were allowed to move forward with the proposal for the Program Stage and a lot of time was spent on including different work groups and children/young people in the process. But also inspect existing 2 primary schools. When then the recession came lurking, this was one of the projects that the politicians chose to pause.
