AUTUMN FISHING SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN - NEW!!!
New for this year is AUTUMN FISCHING SCHOOL, an outdoor activity for children born in 2009-2017 in Lake Juttern, Vimmerby municipality 1/11 - 2025.
Leaders show the children fishing tips and talk about fishing for pike, perch and whitefish. Check out the newly upgraded echo sounder from Humminbird. There will be time to try out all our different baits/rods and cast with a casting rod independently and with the help of leaders. The activity lasts 3 hours - fishing license, briefing and simple refreshments are included in the price.
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis as we want smaller groups for better quality of the activity. There are 3-4 places per occasion. Book via the booking button above.
The activity may be postponed due to bad weather or too few people registered.
Meeting point and more information will be announced when the child's place is confirmed. With the confirmation comes an invoice of 500 SEK which is valid for 1 occasion and must be paid before the activity. Late registration can be swished before the activity (then you will receive information from us)

Under the day the kids get time for indiviudal help and in group in the art of fishing and casting with a casting rod. In the activity fishing license and light refreshments are included. Life jackets, rods, and fishing gear are available to borrow.

In the summer of 2023, on June 19
Youngsters from Vena, Hultsfred, Frödinge, Djursdala and Vimmerby gathered at Lake Juttern in Vimmerby municipality for an exciting day of fishing. They got to try both casting and angling. Among their catches was the biggest one an impressive 2 kg pike, and also several perches were caught.
In the summer of 2022
We organized fishing activities for children and youth in lakes within the Vimmerby municipality. We had a mix of children from Kisa, Vimmerby, Djursdala, Rimforsa, Stockholm and Frödinge. At Lake Krön in Vimmerby municipality, the youngsters caught both perch and pike. The largest pike weighed approximately 0.9 kg, while the largest perch weighed in at 0.6 kg.
In the summer of 2024
On June 16, there were 2 groups who got to go out in a boat and learn more about how to fish from a boat, test different moves, look at sonar and how to handle fish. It was wonderful that all participants got to pull up fish. Pike, perch, mussel and other fish were caught. During the day, children from Västervik, Vimmerby and Vena participated.
